Mark 2:3-4
And they brought to Jesus a paralytic, carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him. When they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralyzed man lay.

Things you may want to know...

MEDICAL MISSION TRIP
OCTOBER 7-13
A medical mission team will travel to Jalapa, Guatemala next month to treat the sick in the poor neighborhoods of Los Laureles and Los Pinos. Ministry activities will include: youth choir rehearsals and a worship concert, afternoon children's activities, infant care at the dump, diabetes education, and a "free market" giveaway.

OPERATION AMALIA
This wonderful new ministry of Four Friends International will begin in October. Named after a little girl at the Jalapa dump who was treated last year for a severe diaper rash, Operation Amalia will offer infant supplies every week to mothers who live there. Leeah and Jackson Harcrow are overseeing the project. Anyone who wants to donate funds to purchase infant supplies should write a check to "Arab First Baptist Church" and put "Four Friends - Operation Amalia" in the memo line.

CORNER OF THE COT
This is the title of the new book about Four Friends International. It explains why the ministry exists, how it accomplishes its mission, and what can be done to help. It includes testimonies from some of the volunteers who have previously traveled to Jalapa. The book is available this month and costs $10. Text Randy Stewart (256-302-4296) if you would like to purchase a copy. Corner of the Cot should also be available soon on amazon.com. The Table of Contents, given below, should give you an indication of what's inside.
